scrap entry to collect some thoughts on going forward with this. First the § title refers to

Which has a 2d gallery instead of the 3d bookshelf metaphor but is complete and has book viewing and other stuff of interest.

Some basics that are missing are search and an unsatisfactory display of open books, maybe wanna gut that out completely but at least need to properly display two pages the way its currently working and replace the clumsy arrows with click on the left or right page to move forward or backward.

After that but with the ops in mind when doing the pagination, allow pdf or latex2html display.

Think about zooming in and changing the open book metaphor to take up the whole canvas.

Also wanna consolidate typography adapted from the IBM and Burroughs docs for unified L&F.
