The Virtual B System Concept

Each server participating in a dominion must define a member of the root group "Georg". WFL/VS jobs on hosts participating in a our domain management scheme constitute a distributed control program for those domains which we call the DCP.

These hosts are made to appear as a single machine with a single file systems by the DCP. For historical reasons the process management portion of the DCP on a given host is termed the MCP and the file system management portion is called DMS III.

Because these are just ordinary unix processes bound by WFL/VS which in turn is inspired by the Burroughs architecture we call it, the delivered machine, a virtual B system.
