Crowded Universe / Self Importance

Now that we know that the Universe is probably lousy with backward species like ourselves, another way of resolving it is that is an expression of our self importance to think that species that have already before ours even existed passed the technological singularity, the Omega point of culture would even want to take on the burden of contact with animals.
