Pay What You Want Gig
"wee wig", similar to WYSIWYG, the p is silentIn which I offer remote service for whatever, if anything, besides a cover charge ( less than $10 ) you intend to pay upon happy completion. This article explains PWYWGs and this one has some related info/tips.
Key Points
- Time sensitive responses to postings requesting assistance, offering ad-hoc and informal support. Cover charge waived for active users ¹
- A win requires clarity in what will constitute your complete satisfaction in performance of the job and what, if anything, you intend to pay for it.
- Confidentiality is assured per my privacy policy and end-end encryption ². If you wish, support sessions can be recorded and securely played back from your profile.
- You can upgrade your entitlement class to Y or F, or if you propose a different fixed fee it can be paid by Zelle or similar to my Bank of America business account, juan@acm.org.
¹ S Class or higher: ip-identified, social networked, or lapsed AKPERSONs — cover charge.² E2EE must be enabled in your DS user profile.Size (and other stuff) Matters
PWYWGs are appropriate for tasks or very small jobs, hours or days rather than weeks. A subsequent regular biz case may be possible but none is expected, the general PWYWG is a standalone nano/spot gig.
No need for final judgment of what you want to pay beforehand, but ballpark it. S class fee alone may suffice based on my degree of interest in the task. Rate chart gives current day rates for a regular job/contract.
Positive personal interaction has value. I will let you know if it and the cover charge alone suffice for me. You may still wish to propose a fee in this case as a further incentive.Infra & Performance
Your participation and observation of what is done during all or part of the job has a support framework or platform within my domain space (DS), which you will be able to use as an Actually Known Person in my domains. The DS App contains various elements of the framework and the cover charge can be paid in-app if you're not already an AKPERSON. Waivers must process thru devops1 not commons.
Work Background
You can find out about my professional background from the Praxis link in the left nav. There is a 10+ page resume and areas of this space from my first working life selling my ability to do jobs, something I no longer do on an individual basis. All the more so for PWYWGs, just advising to dodge an awkward moment. Also ofc you'll see a lot of my work in this space which I call a domain space and which is entirely created and maintained by me alone³.
³ Core Domain Space, as distinct from the underlying operating systems, languages, packages, etc. and ofc other DS operators owned domain spaces..

I don't use Instagram anymore so that isn't going to be updated but there are more recent clips here.
