Pay What you Want Gig

In select cases, I offer my services for whatever the job advertiser intends to pay after the job is complete. This page explains, briefly, how this works.

Infra used in performance

In performing the job, I will use software which will allow us to share screens and otherwise work with your participation and observation of what is to be done, for all or part of the job. Some of this software is off the shelf packages but it will all be generally within a framework of my infra, you won't need any 3rd party accounts. To use this you will need to become an Actually Known person in my domains for which there is a minimum charge for 90 days of authentication as such, currently about $8 USD with what Apple or Google add as surcharges, paid thru my DS App. This app contains various utilities that will facilitate our communication during the job.

Key points on this mode of work

1. For success, clarity is required in what will constitute your complete satisfaction in performance of the job and what, if anything, over the base S class capitation fee you intend to pay for it.
2. If you do intend more than token payment, but not as an increase in your entitlement (capitation) class to Y or F, it should be by Zelle or similar to my Bank of America business account.
3. This is completely ad-hoc and informal assistance. It is not a contract to achieve a biz goal, though it may result in the attainment of one.

Size (and other stuff) Matters

This mode of work is appropriate for tasks or very small jobs, hours or days rather than weeks. Not to prejudice it leading to something more but this is not expected and generally will not be the case.
My rate chart gives some idea for what I would currently charge in a regular consult as far as a daily rate is concerned. You don't need to make your judgment of what you intend to pay beforehand as it may change with first discussion. I'm willing to help you for the S class fee to an extent which will vary based on my interest in the task.

My qualifications to do the job

As a senior IT worker, I have an unusual depth and breadth of experience as well as being current with various tech. You can find out about my professional background from the Praxis link in the left nav. There is a long 10 page resume and areas of this space from my first working life selling my ability to do jobs, something I no longer do. All the more so ones such as this page concerns, just advising to avoid an awkward moment. Also ofc you'll see a lot of my work in this space which is entirely created and maintained by me alone.
