Pay What You Want Gig
"wee wig", similar to WYSIWYG, the p is silent
  See also: support session tips.

One where you pay whatever if anything you hold or find the job to be worth.

Size (and other stuff) Matters

PWYWGs are appropriate for standalone tasks or short projects to which I may give some hours over up to 12 weeks.
Positive personal interaction has value. I will let you know if my interest in doing it alone suffices once I confirm the nature of the task.

Key Points

  1. Make final judgment of what you want to pay upon live interaction but ballpark it beforehand, with a price you will pay on retainer, upon completion, or desired net terms.
  2. Entitlement here matters ¹ but this is not a support or consult channel for domain space elements and the domains Terms of Service (ToS) is the only contract.
  3. Support sessions can be recorded using infra for that should you create a profile here. Confidentiality is assured per my privacy policy and end-end encryption ².

Work History

Praxis is about my whole IT work life but this landing is more apropos gigs. This web space, which I call an Exe Novel, is in fact conceived, developed, and operated by me and my automated proxies alone³.

Infra & Accounting

In practice, a PWYWG might be executed without use of my infra as was the case for the first one. Donated labor time may appear on my Books for tax purposes even if you pay nothing.

To Proceed

Use juan@acm.org from a traceable email account. I am generally uninterested in talking to anonymous email boxes but use of my doorbell from The Wild is OK if you mention PWYWG in the ring-up message.

¹   If not done for the interest I may have in the task. If you are a F class or better AKPERSON that matters.
²   E2EE is a special feature in videotelephony, not a general property of all communications with these domains which generally have standard server controlled based encryption. However MCP/DCP operation in domain space is not like operation in the wild.
³   Core Domain Space, as distinct from the underlying operating systems, languages, packages, etc. and ofc other DS operators owned domain spaces, if and when.
